Selected as technology partner to deliver a complete remote hydroponics monitoring and sensing solution for PSA Marine's hydroponics project, part of the PSA sustainability movement. The system features one of the industry's first AI-based harvesting alert systems, matching LUX readings against plant type, water quality, and nutrient levels to signal optimal harvest timing. Data is collected and monitored through a customised mobile application with live video feeds overlooking plant growth stages across each plot.

PSA Marine's hydroponics sustainability initiative needed a monitoring system that could tell growers not just what conditions were, but when conditions indicated the optimal moment to harvest, a predictive capability.

Built an AI-based harvesting alert system correlating LUX readings against plant type, water quality, and nutrient levels to identify optimal harvest windows. Nobody had built an AI harvest alert for hydroponics quite this way before, correlating light, water quality, and nutrients instead of relying on a fixed calendar, so a fair amount of the early work was watching plants grow slower or faster than the model predicted and adjusting from there. PSA's sustainability team wanted something growers would trust over their own instinct, which is a higher bar than a dashboard. Catching a harvest window a human would have missed by a day is why I like this kind of work.
