Raymang Eggs: Automated Carton Box Removal System
ESG-funded robotic carton removal system for egg distribution, a 1,000%+ efficiency gain using two 6-axis industrial robotic arms.
Designed and built a fully customised carton box removal system for Raymang Eggs' egg distribution operations. Enterprise Singapore (ESG) funded it, under an initiative that helps SMEs digitalise and mechanise. Two 6-axis industrial robotic arms pick up carton boxes and place them into an automated cutting machine. A further robotic arm removes and disposes of the cut cartons. Efficiency rose by over 1,000%, dependence on manual labour fell significantly, and workplace safety improved.
Raymang Eggs' egg distribution operation depended on handling and removing carton boxes by hand. The work took a lot of labour and was hard on the body. It limited throughput and carried workplace safety risk, and no existing off-the-shelf solution suited egg distribution specifically.
Designed a fully customised system under the ESG-funded initiative that helps SMEs digitalise and mechanise. Two 6-axis industrial robotic arms pick up carton boxes and place them into an automated cutting machine. An additional robotic arm removes and disposes of the cut cartons. The full handling sequence is mechanised from end to end.
Operational efficiency rose by more than 1,000%. Dependence on manual labour and the risk of workplace injury both fell significantly. The fully mechanised workflow became a model for how ESG can help SMEs automate, in egg distribution and similar processes.

Stand next to the manual process this replaced, with workers repeatedly lifting and cutting carton after carton, and the 1,000% efficiency number stops being abstract. Getting the ESG funding meant proving this wasn't a nice-to-have automation project but a genuine workplace safety fix. Two industrial arms doing that lifting now is the actual difference. I like that this project made someone's workday safer.
