DIFC Enterprise Campus Network Design Review
Independent peer review that set the technical baseline for DIFC 2.0 network infrastructure.
Engaged as independent peer reviewer for the enterprise campus network Low Level Design at the Dubai International Financial Centre, ahead of the DIFC 2.0 infrastructure rollout. The review checked that the design was technically sound, in line with regulation and ready for procurement. It covered network architecture, segmentation, security controls, high-availability design, and compliance with DIFC ICT Law, UAE TDRA, DESC and SIRA standards. It produced findings backed by evidence, RFP-ready requirements and delivery assumptions. Together they set an infrastructure baseline aligned with the regulators.
DIFC's 2.0 campus expansion needed a network Low Level Design that was technically rigorous and met several UAE regulatory frameworks. It also had to be clear enough to serve as an unambiguous reference for competitive procurement before going to market.
Ran a systematic peer review of the network design and its segmentation. It also covered security controls, high availability and the operating models. Checked compliance against DIFC ICT Law, UAE/TDRA telecommunications standards, DESC, and SIRA UAE security requirements. For the tender, produced RFP-ready requirements, evaluation criteria and delivery assumptions.
Delivered structured technical inputs that set an infrastructure baseline for DIFC 2.0 aligned with the regulators. The independent findings made the tender clearer and lowered delivery risk. Design gaps and assumptions came to light before going to market. That allowed corrections before bidders were engaged, and saved significant cost further down the line.

Being the outside reviewer on someone else's design is an uncomfortable job when done right. You're paid to find what the team closest to the work has stopped seeing.
