NEOM Magna required a smart city framework that enhanced a pristine 130km coastal environment without technological disruption to the natural landscape, spanning mountainous terrain, wadi fans, desert plains, and beaches. The master plan had to balance world-class tourist experience with environmental preservation across 406 km².
Developed the integrated smart city framework across four domains: multi-modal visitor navigation, personalised experience and booking systems, IoT-enabled monitoring of utilities, waste, energy, and water, and environmental protection systems. Designed to minimise physical footprint while maximising operational intelligence. Aligned with NEOM Vision 2030 sustainability goals throughout.
Detailed master plan delivered for Saudi Arabia's flagship eco-tourism destination, balancing a world-class visitor experience against 130km of coastline that could not absorb heavy infrastructure. The four-domain framework is the reference point subsequent Gulf coastal developments have measured their own environmental constraints against.
IoT-enabled operational monitoring and personalised experience design at city scale use the same data-feedback principles as customer journey tracking and operational dashboards for service businesses. The framework question is identical: what does a smooth customer experience require you to know in real time, and what feedback loops keep it improving?

130 kilometres of coastline that can't absorb heavy infrastructure is a design constraint that forces genuine restraint: every sensor, every navigation node had to earn its place instead of just being added because it was available. I spent real time arguing for less hardware, not more, which isn't the instinct most technology briefs reward. Getting the environmental protection systems to work with that restraint, rather than around it, is the part of this project I'd defend in any room.
